Cornerstone Performance Tanking Render is a dry ready mixed waterproof natural cement tanking render for the robust protection of internal masonry from water and salts below the ground level. Available in the colour tan.
Manufacturing by Cornerstone utilising Prompt Natural Cement, natural sands and a retarder to create a high-performance render for the tanking of substrates to prevent water penetration and long-term durability against harsh environmental elements. Since the mid-19th century, Prompt Natural Cement has been utilised across Europe for mortars, renders, decorative plasterwork, and marine applications. Free of synthetic polymers and Portland Cement. Available as standard with Prompt Natural Cement.

Relevant for a two-coat internal or external application at a minimum thickness of 10mm per coat to provide protection from water and salt ingress. Appropriate for various project types, including conservation and renovation.
While Performance Tanking Render is entirely natural in colour and absent of any pigments, the environmental conditions and curing process will affect the final colour achieved. In general, we recommend applying a finishing coat on top. We recommend Cornerstone Insulating Render as a third coat of lime render on top of Performance Tanking Render internally to manage any potential sweating of the two initial layers. For external applications, explore Cornerstone Promix Medium Topcoat or Cornerstone Promix Fine Topcoat.
As a natural cement-based render, Performance Tanking Render is unsuitable for use on some background substrates, including certain low-strength limestone, sandstone or other compromised surfaces.
A 25kg bag yields approximately 15 litres of render and covers roughly 1.5m² at a 10mm thickness. On-site trials are advised for the best yield indication for your specific project.
Supplied in 25kg polythene-lined and colour and batch-code paper bags for easy identification on-site and palletised for ease of transport, storage, and handling.

Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C, or if freezing conditions are predicted within the following few weeks, including wind chill. We always advise following best practices for curing and protecting fresh lime renders and plasters. Protect from adverse environmental conditions, including frost, rain, direct sunlight and drying winds.
