As part of the Cornerstone Newbuild range for contemporary sustainable construction, this multipurpose ready-mixed natural hydraulic lime mortar features a refined balance of strength, breathability, and flexibility.
Manufactured by Cornerstone utilising hydraulic lime, natural sands, and additives to enhance physical and mechanical characteristics to create a high-performance mortar and finishing render. Designed to meet the demands of contemporary construction, Newbuild Medium features the benefits of pure lime mortar whilst retaining the high strength associated with a modern mortar or render. Available as standard with Saint-Astier® HL5. Other binders and mix ratios are available upon request.

A 25kg bag yields approximately 15 litres of lime mortar or render. For rendering, this covers roughly 2m² at a 7.5mm thickness. For pointing, this will fill roughly 2m² at a 7.5mm depth. Consumption rates will change based on how even the background is and suction. The width and depth of the joint will influence this estimation. On-site trials are advised for the best yield indication for your specific project.
As natural products, our kiln-dried sands may exhibit variations in colour, texture, and shape. While these variations are minimal, when colour consistency is crucial, we strongly advise each elevation is completed using render and plaster from the same batch.
Supplied in 25kg polythene-lined and colour and batch-code paper bags for easy identification on-site and palletised for ease of transport, storage, and handling. FIBC tonne bags are also available.
