A vapour permeable and resilient mineral paint for external facades, Renosil Coarse is designed for use as a coarse basecoat for the Beeck Renosil External Paint system, featuring a 0.4mm grain to fill and mask surface imperfections and hairline cracks or assist with masking and levelling underlying layers of sound existing paint.
Average coverage of 4m² per kg, based on a smooth to medium surface. For the topcoat finish, use Beeck Renosil Fine Mineral Paint. Ideal for solid-walled masonry and contemporary construction.
Upon application, these paints absorb into and bond with the mineral background. The result is a highly stable, breathable coating that allows moisture to pass through. This breathable quality makes Beeck Mineral Paint ideal for historic solid-wall and contemporary buildings.

Suitable for external use. Suitable surfaces for application include lime or cement render, concrete, brick, stone, and sound existing paint, which is well adhered to the surface and free of peeling, flaking or dusting.
Application is advised with a high-quality brush or roller. Coverage is approximately 4m² per litre per coat based on a smooth to medium surface. Coverage can vary depending on the background surface, suction and application method.
Always prepare the background substrate before application, removing any biological materials, contaminants or loose materials.
Before application, add 10% undiluted Beeck Fixative into the Beeck Renosil Coarse paint and stir thoroughly.
Absorbent mineral surfaces, such as bare lime or cement render or previously limewashed backgrounds, should be primed with Beeck Fixative before application to assist with suction and aid in a successful chemical bond between background and paint.
If a lime render or limewash background features lime deposits or lime bloom or bleed, we advise applying Beeck Etching Fluid to clean the surface before applying Beeck Renosil Coarse.
Once the Beeck Renosil Coarse has been applied and has thoroughly dried, proceed with Beeck Renosil Fine as the topcoat.
Allow a minimum of 12 hours of drying time between coats. Do not use in adverse weather conditions, including frost, rain, intense heat, or extreme sunshine. The minimum application temperature is 8°C. Do not use in the presence of salts.
