I am working on an old house restoration and we need to rerender with lime render on the external stone walls. The insulation specialist is suggesting we spray the inside of the external stone walls with closed cell spray insulation. Is this a good idea or would it prevent the walls from breathing?
Thank you for your enquiry.
Closed cell insulation is not breathable. We manufacture an Insulating Render which you could use. The link to the product is here on our website: https://cornishlime.co.uk/products/lime-mortars/cornerstone-insulating-render/ and if you are able to let us have an email address we can forward further information to you on insulating older buildings.
