Etch & Fixative time limits

I have painted etch onto a lime rendered wall. I have then left it for about 5 weeks. Do I need to re-etch before applying Beeck Fixative.

Similarly, I painted a section with fixative which I have also left for 5 weeks. Do I need to start again? Or can I just go ahead and paint with Beeckosil?

Thank you for your enquiry.
It should be fine within that timescale.  There is a minimum time of 12 hours between each process. With the etching and fixative there is no maximum time before applying the next stage. If it was left for months plus and/or there were visible signs of contamination on the surface (i.e. mould, dust, dirt) you would need to clean this down.  Please let us know if you needed anything further.
