We know the importance of affordable and reliable delivery at Cornish Lime. Therefore, we offer a variety of delivery methods to provide the most efficient service we can. Please find out more about our delivery methods below.

Premium or Expedited Delivery

For a premium or expedited delivery service, please get in touch to discuss if this option is available for your order.

Collection from Cornish Lime

Once your order is ready, you will receive an email to confirm that your order is ready for collection. Our hours are 7:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. You can find detailed directions to our site on the visit us page.

Royal Mail

Small orders, such as tools, are often shipped with the Royal Mail. Please note that this is not a tracked service. Liquid items are restricted by the Royal Mail and must be shipped using another method below.

DX – Parcel Courier

Depending on dimensions, orders under 25kg in weight and roughly 1.5-2 m in length are typically shipped with DX Delivery.

Orders shipped by DX Delivery are typically shipped from Cornish Lime the next business day and arrive within 2-3 business days, depending on your location. However, if any of your items are made-to-order, these will ship once ready. If ordering online, a lead time notice for made-to-order items will appear in the cart. DX will contact you via text or email with delivery information and options, and orders can be tracked on the DX Delivery website. Redelivery can be arranged on the DX website if a failed delivery attempt occurs using the link above.

In the unfortunate event of a delayed or disrupted delivery with DX, which is beyond our control after dispatch, we can assist you with acquiring the most up-to-date information on your delivery if needed.

While we take great care in preparing and packaging orders, always inspect your order upon delivery and before providing a signature. In the situation of a damaged item, please note any damage on the DX courier’s hand-held device or delivery paperwork, ensuring that the order is signed as damaged on receipt. In addition, please inform us via email with a photograph. Finally, if any items are missing from an order, please notify us within three days of your delivery.

Pallet Haulier – Palletforce

For deliveries outside of Cornwall and West Devon, our third-party partner Palletforce will deliver your order. Pallet orders are typically dispatched from Cornish Lime within 1-2 business days. However, if any of your items are made-to-order, these will dispatch once ready. If ordering online, a lead time notice for made-to-order items will appear in the cart. Once dispatched, Palletforce Economy will deliver your order within 3-5 business days, depending on your location.

Your local Palletforce depot will contact you directly to arrange delivery. Please ensure that your location can accommodate articulated lorries or similar vehicles. If there may be any issues with access for delivery, please inform us during checkout in the comments area or via email. Please also notify Palletforce when delivery is arranged. In the unfortunate event of a failed delivery, you may incur a redelivery fee.

Our typical rates for Palletforce Economy are from £45.00 per pallet plus VAT, depending on your postcode. When ordering online, the shipping rate is calculated in your cart.

In the unfortunate event of a delayed or disrupted delivery with Palletforce, which is beyond our control after dispatch, we can assist you with acquiring the most up-to-date information on your delivery if needed.

Please note that Palletforce delivery is kerbside only. For residential properties, please note that this is a tail lift offload. Palletforce will not drive down private roads or tracks. While most drivers are as accommodating as possible, we can’t guarantee that they can assist with moving or pushing pallets. Please ensure that your drop-off point is level, stable and free of obstructions. If the area is considered unsuitable or unsafe for drop-off, the delivery may not be made.

London, Remote Areas in the UK and Abroad

Please note that our pallet rate depends on postcode and can vary considerably for London, remote areas within the United Kingdom and abroad. Please get in touch for information on rates in these areas.

Local Deliveries in Cornwall and West Devon

Local deliveries in Cornwall and West Devon are mainly delivered on a 12 or 18-tonne vehicle by the Cornish Lime delivery team. If ordering online, you will be contacted by phone to arrange delivery and ensure that your site can accommodate our vehicles. Both vehicles require sufficient room to extend their legs, remain stable and ensure items can be safely unloaded. In the unfortunate event of a failed delivery, you may incur a redelivery fee. Below is guidance on the clearance required for each.

12-tonne vehicle: Requires a clearance of 9ft (2.74m) for width and 26 ft (7.8m) for length. The crane at the front of the unit has a maximum reach of 7m. This vehicle can carry five tonnes.

18-tonne vehicle: Requires a clearance of 9ft 6 (2.8m) for width and 26.5 ft (8.1m) for length. The crane at the back of the unit has a maximum reach of 8m. This reach is reduced if lowered from the side of the vehicle. This vehicle can carry nine tonnes.

Collection with a Third-Party Courier

If you would like to arrange your own third-party Courier to collect your order, please get in touch. A £4.00 fee will be applied for the packaging of your order as required by your third-party Courier.

Out of Stock Items

In the unfortunate event of an item being out of stock, our team will be in touch to arrange a refund or recommend a suitable replacement for your item.

Paint Products

Small paint orders are typically delivered with DX Delivery. Larger paint orders on a pallet are delivered by our third-party partner Palletforce.

Please inspect your paint order upon delivery and before signing for your order. While we take great care in the preparation and packaging of paint products, in the situation of a damaged item, please note any damage on the driver’s delivery paperwork. In addition, please inform us via email with a photograph attached so we may make a claim with the haulier and provide a replacement.
